Hotel Football

Old Trafford, Manchester

Contractor: Galliford Try
Architect: AEW
Project Value: £24,000,000

Hotel Football is an upscale football-themed hotel overlooking Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United F.C.. Owned by the Class of 92, former Manchester United players Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville, and Gary Neville formerly opened the hotel in December 2015. With 133 rooms, Café Football Restaurant and a five-a-side football pitch on the roof, the hotel is the first in a planned chain of football-themed hotels to be located near football grounds around the world.

With a wide selection of corporate lounges and suites, Rotec was approached by Hotel Football to install roller shutters for conference rooms in order to ensure full security compliance. Along with the conference rooms, security rated doors were also installed on the ground floor to protect the building and deter unwanted entry.

On the tenth storey of the hotel, Rotec overcame compatibility and space limitations posed by a five a side football pitch and a rooftop bar by offering ironmongery solutions. An emphasis was placed on completing this project in a timely manner in order to meet client expectations and a tight deadline. With over 10 years of experience delivering quality work in optimal time, Rotec ensured that this project was approached with strategic planning and attention to detail.
